Located at the College campus, the Vic Juba Community Theatre offers music, dance and theatre for your entertainment. Two grass green golf courses ensure that the golfer in the family is kept busy! Situated in scenic Bud Miller Park, The Lloydminster Leisure Centre houses an indoor wave pool and an instructional pool, waterslide and fitness room. Bud Miller Park features hiking and biking trails, tennis courts, mini golf, and a man-made lake that you can paddle-boat on in the summer and skate on in the winter. The Barr Colony Heritage Cultural Centre offers an historic look at the area’s culture and wildlife as well as the Heavy Oil Interpretive Center – an interactive tour through Lloydminster’s history in the oil industry.
Perhaps the city’s most impressive facility is the new CommonWealth Centre. The CWC boasts two indoor ice surfaces, two soccer/lacrosse fieldhouses, a state of the art workout room, as well as mini-golf and wall-climbing stations. For the sports-minded, there are three indoor hockey arenas, as well as a few outdoor rinks throughout the city. The Legion Ball Park is the spot for ball enthusiasts – home of the Annual Red-Eye Slow Pitch Tournament. There are several community ball fields in the city. Dance, gymnastics, figure skating and martial arts classes are also offered.
For those times you want to get the family out of the city, Sandy Beach Regional Park is only a fifteen minute drive from the city. Here you’ll find a 9-hole sand green golf course, picnic areas, beach and swimming area with campsites available.
