Small and private, Islay is the perfect destination for familes who like their peace and quiet! Although there are no services in the Village of Islay, the nearby towns of Kitscoty offer gas, groceries, restaurants and most services. The City of Lloydminster is about a 30 minute drive.
Agriculture, namely farming and ranching, has always been the “bread and butter” of this area. In recent years, however, Islay too has seen effects from the oil boom.
If you’re looking to be relatively close to the City of Lloydminster but want to enjoy a small town with a lower cost of living, then Islay could be just what you are looking for!
